Nicaragua Welcomes Survivor!

Nicaragua was chosen as the location for the filming of the
Emmy Award-winning reality television series Survivor through 2011.

Shooting first began in July 2010 for season 21 around the popular coastal city of San Juan del Sur. Factors such as the favorable climate and the country's spectacular natural beauty helped lead to the selection. "The show marks the arrival of Nicaragua as the emerging tourism destination in the region," said Javier Chamorro, Executive Director of PRONicaragua. The program highlights Nicaragua's pristine landscape, wildlife and culture, and brings it direct to 13 million weekly viewers.
